ADJECTIVE UPDATES!

Thank you for all of your patience as we are getting this clothing line started. We have been working on a few edits that we plan on incorporating into our website once it is up. This week we were able to get great footage with the Shadow Conspiracy Team, Ty Morrow, and Trey Jones. That footage will be posted to the blog once it is all edited. I really appreciate their participation in our edit!

We recently printed more shirts that I will post up on the website once they arrive. For now, my main focus has been trying to get the website started. I am currently working on the design/layout for the site. As soon as it is up and running I will definitely put up a post with the link. But creating a website takes time, so the site will not be up for a few weeks. In the meantime, if you would like to purchase any of our t-shirts or stickers, please email adjclothingco@gmail.com.

We'll continue to keep you updated!

Air Jordan September Releases: Pair them with an ADJ shirt!

I came across these Jordans that are to be released in September. I wanted to share it with you because they go good together with some shirts that we have recently designed. The Jordan Fly 23 in Black/White/Orion Blue. This would go perfect if paired with our Black and Turquoise Nerd T-shirt.

I also came across the Air Jordan 1 in Cool Grey/Imperial Blue. This sneaker goes good with our "Three Little Pigs" T-shirt. The color scheme goes good together. The exact release date for both of these sneakers is not out yet but they will be available sometime in September!

Sticker Sketches

I have been working on a new design for a sticker that I wanted to create. I used Adobe Illustrator and I decided to share some snapshots of the steps that I took to create it. Hope you like it.

I wanted to do a sketch of someone on a bike... this is where it started.

I ended up with this... still unfinished but I like it. I felt like it needed something more. Maybe a little more action so I decided to start a new sketch.

First, I wanted to add more detail to his face...

Then I wanted to show more action with the bike...

And this is the finished product!

NEW Nerd Slim Fit T-shirt Available soon!

This is a graffiti mop shirt that I am currently getting printed. It will be available in purple and black. I will be having a few shirts with different types of faces that are styled like this that I will be getting printed in the coming months. It's a simple design, but I like it because it gives the shirt a personality. It goes along with the theme of my brand, self-expression and description. There will be a variety of shirts that will represent different moods/personalities. This is the first shirt for that collection: The nerd.

Dirt District T-shirt

This is one of the first shirts that I created for my clothing line. The phrase "Dirt District" is exactly what it sounds like. Its is the opposite of diamond district. Its not about the glitz and glam its gritty and authentic. This shirt idea stems more from the bmx and skateboarding culture. When you skate and ride, it's all about putting in work not being afraid to get dirty and stepping into the dirt district. It's a state of mind. If you click on the photo, you'll be able to see the paint splatter and the smaller details of the t-shirt as well as the vibrancy of the brighter colors. I really wanted the colors to pop. The photo above is of the black shirt but I also have this in a organic cotton white t-shirt with the same print colors.

SUCK IT!!! Coming soon!

This is my newest design. I really wanted to create something with a pop art/comic feel to it. I did a lot of brainstorming and came up with this design. It's kind of a play-on-words with the whole "Suck it" theme. I just wanted something that could be colorful and universal, that a variety of people would like. For now, I will be getting this printed on a white tee. I am still in the process of getting these printed, but it is coming soon! I will continue to blog, tweet, and facebook everyone to keep you all updated!

The Three Little Pigs

This is another shirt that I recently designed. It's an image of spray paint cans, markers, and paint brushes chasing pigs dressed like cops. I had a lot of fun with this design. Growing up in New York, graffiti was everywhere. And in my opinion, it's one of the hottest forms of art. It was a way for everyone to express themselves and it gave the city so much character and told the artist's story. But being that it's illegal. Graffiti isn't always that easy. It gets painted over or cops give out fines. This shirt is a type of rebellion against that. I think the imagery is cool.

Bird crest design AVAILABLE NOW!!!

This is the ADJ Bird Crest Design. The idea behind this design is to have a powerful vibe and show an "ownership". I wanted this design to look gritty. It was originally meant to be a pigeon holding a rat on a shield but I decided to switch it and turned into a more of a crest look. Instead of using a pigeon, I was thinking an eagle would have a more powerful artistic effect. In this design the eagle represents the individual owning its competitor. The rat in the picture represents the "prey". I wanted it to be the two animals that more represent the street, kind of a nyc thing as well as a quick rep representation of street bmx and skateboarding or any street sport. So that's also why I went with the gritty painted splat look while keeping a serious look as well.

Formal Introduction

Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Tone and I am the creator/owner of Adjective Clothing Company. I decided to start this clothing line for a few reasons. First, I love art. Ever since I was little I've always been scribbling, making up sketches, and re-drawing images I'd see in comic books. I've always liked an appreciated all forms of art and its always been a hobby of mine. The second reason is because I like fashion and clothing design. Fashion is a form of self-expression and an extension of a person's personality. I wanted to be able to create clothes that people can use as a way to describe how they feel or to describe themselves. I wanted to create this clothing company to give my self a chance to express different ideas that I have had. I believe my designs are more out of the box then what is on the market today. I like to use a lot of bright colors and crazy styles of art. I like the bmx and skateboard culture and I have alot of friends between both. That's where alot of my wild ideas come from. As time goes by, more and more designs will drop and I promise to keep them crazy, never to be boring. Keep up with my blog! I plan on posting updates of T-shirts and designs that I will be coming out with! I plan on not only posting information about new designs but I will also be posting about the business growth, as well as anything related to the industry or art that catches my eye.
